How I Teach

We begin by talking.

If you want to become better at speaking English, you have to speak English.

You speak. I listen. I want to hear the English you actually use.

The conversation itself becomes the classroom.

Talk.

Speak naturally. Tell me about your day, your work, an opinion, an experience or something that matters to you.

Correct.

We work on grammar, sentence construction, vocabulary and expression as they arise.

Correct the English you use, not the English a textbook assumes you need.

Practise.

We use English in situations that matter to you. You explain. You respond. You ask. You disagree. You try again.

Improve.

Correction is followed by another attempt. The sentence gets better. The confidence improves. The hesitation begins to reduce.

Learn English by using English.

Grammar

Grammar should solve a problem, not become the problem.

Good spoken English does not mean ignoring grammar. But grammar is more useful when it solves a real problem.

If you repeatedly make the same mistake, we work on it. If your grammar is already good, we do not waste time teaching what you already know.

Why 90 minutes?

Because useful conversation takes time. We need time to talk, notice what needs work, correct it and try again.

Because better communication deserves more than a hurried hour.

No artificial accent

The objective is not to make everyone sound British or American. The objective is correct English, clear English and confident English.

Better English should reveal more of you, not less.

A few things at a time

I do not want you leaving a session with twenty corrections. We focus on what matters most, use it, repeat it and build on it.

Small corrections. Used repeatedly. Real improvement.

Next step

No test. No judgement. Just a conversation.

Before I teach you, I would first like to understand how you speak.

We begin with a request for a complimentary 20-minute online conversation. If the mentoring appears suitable for your requirement, meeting details are shared by email or WhatsApp.
